Tensions remained high on Thursday over the clashes that took place in Simara, Bara on Wednesday. A curfew has been imposed since 1 pm after Genji started inciting protests.

The protesters have been protesting at Simara Chowk since 11 am on Thursday. They also used normal force to control the crowd. The District Administration Office has imposed a curfew in the Simara area to control the situation.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Chhabiraman Bhattarai, a curfew has been imposed from 12:45 pm to 8 pm on Thursday. The curfew has been imposed on 500 meters of the highway from Pathlaiya to Lalka Pul in South Jitpur and 500 meters around the airport area.

Due to the protest, traffic in the Simara area has also been disrupted. They are protesting by burning tires at Simara Chowk.

The protest started on Thursday morning by the Genjis, who were not arrested for the clash that took place in Simara on Wednesday. They had filed a complaint against six people on Wednesday.

Two of the people who were filed a complaint were taken into custody by the police on Thursday morning. Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra said that Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, ward chairman of Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan City 2, and Kaimudin Ansari, ward chairman of Ward 6, were arrested. Both of them are elected from UML.

Six Genjis were injured in the clash between Genjis and UML workers on Wednesday. Genjis had filed a complaint against six people. Genjis have filed a complaint against UML workers regarding the clash that took place at Simara Chowk with UML and Genji generation youth. Samrat Upadhyay, the district coordinator of Genji, said that the protest was held again because the accused had not been arrested. The clash between Genji and UML workers on Wednesday had made the day tense and turbulent.
