The government has classified those injured during the 'Gen-G' protests into four categories.
Ministry of Health and Population spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki said that the technical committee formed to classify the injured during the protests has divided them into four categories. According to him, the injured have been divided into four categories: very serious, serious, moderate and normal.
The government had formed a 10-member technical committee under the coordination of Dr. Saroj Sharma, Head of the Ministry's Department of Quality, Measurement and Regulation, for this classification. The injured have been classified based on the type of injury. The ministry has stated that 23 are very serious, 21 are serious, 23 are moderately injured and 11 are mildly injured based on the type of injury.
The government is preparing to provide identity cards to the injured according to the classification. The government has already issued a circular to all district administration offices and instructed them to complete the classification of those injured during the protests. According to ministry spokesperson Dr. Budhathoki, 2,572 people were injured during the 'Gen-G' protests held on Bhadra 23 and 24.
