According to Lokraj Sharma, Information Technology Director of the National Identity Card and Registration Department, a large number of citizens have registered their names in the voter list in a short period of time since the Election Commission's system and the national identity card system were integrated. According to Director Sharma, from Thursday afternoon to Friday, 37,600 people have registered their names in the voter list using the national identity card.
Acknowledging that there have been complaints about the technical problems seen in the online registration, Director Sharma said that efforts are being made to improve it.
