Saying that the chairman has acted as a complete pawn of the Nepali Congress, Khanal said that the chairman is trying to dissolve the party into the Maoists.
Senior leader of the Unified Socialist Party, Jhalanath Khanal, has accused Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal of leading the party towards dissolution by uniting with the Maoists.
Talking to Kantipur, he said that the chairman of Nepal Congress is also a pawn, saying, 'The chairman is trying to dissolve the party into the Maoists. He also made the party run that way. And now, he is trying to move towards dissolution. Madhav Nepal is on the path of dissolving the party into the Maoists, dividing the party.
Khanal, who stands against unity, has even hinted at forming a separate party instead of uniting with the Maoists. He said that joining the Maoists will neither prove the justification for breaking away from UML nor will the party exist, saying, 'It is only related to the leader's security.'
Khanal accused Nepal of not being able to do anything about party operation, party building and party expansion after the case was filed against the party chairman, saying, 'It seems that he wants to take it somewhere after realizing that it is impossible to form a party.'
