The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) led by Netra Bikram Chand has approached the Election Commission with an application for party registration.

A team including spokesperson Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma has reached the commission. They have named the party as Communist Party Nepal for registration.

A party leader said that there is a possibility that some words will be added in brackets in the section where another party is registered with the same name. He also said that the election symbol should be Laliguras and if it is not received, there is talk of going to other options.
