According to the police, 285 large pistols, including INSAS and SLR, and 271 small weapons have not yet been recovered. Police officials have been saying that this has also added to the challenge to peace and security.
On 24 Bhadra, a total of 14,043 prisoners and detainees, including those in police custody during investigation, escaped. Of these, about 5,000 prisoners and detainees have not yet been arrested.
