UML President KP Sharma Oli has asked not to entertain the illusion that UML has left the government forever.
Speaking at the central committee meeting held at Banhimandal in Lalitpur, he claimed that UML is the party that is taking the lead in patriotic movement and social movement.
He claimed that he was being dragged against himself within the party and that he was trying to figure out how to make it fail. But he did not reveal the details of who did such work, when and how.
Oli claimed that after making the constitution, UML led the government and started construction of Hulaki highway in Terai-Madhesh and started construction of Beni-Jomsom-Korola bridge in the north.
He said, 'There has never been a one-man position in the party . There was a situation where the party had to drag its feet and how it should be made to fail.'
He recalled the past when the UML was unfairly removed from the government but returned to the government after three years, claiming that the reactionary forces did not understand that and argued that they should understand this.
After the Gen-G movement, President KP Sharma Oli has left his residence for the first time and participated in the meeting. Oli is submitting a political report in the meeting. The Central Committee will approve the recommendation of the Central Secretariat to hold the 11th Congress in the last week of November and set the date .
Although there is pressure to hand over the leadership in UML, Oli has not given any indication about it. In the report, Oli will submit the party's proposal regarding the Gen-G movement, the convention and the dissolution of the House of Representatives, the election announced on February 21.
Earlier, Oli in an event organized in Bhaktapur accused the Shusila Karki-led government of not being a representative of the Nepali people.
