Bipin Joshi's body has been confirmed by forensic examination. Hamas handed over the bodies of four people including Bipin to Israel on Monday night.

The Israeli army has confirmed that the bodies of the four have been identified through forensic tests. The family has been informed about this. According to the army, the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute based in Tel Aviv will announce the final conclusion about the cause and circumstances of their death after completing the investigation.

'We have received the news that Bipin's body has been identified,' brother Kishore Joshi told Kantipur, 'No date has been given as to when he will come to Nepal .

The Israeli army has claimed that 'Bipin was killed by Hamas while he was imprisoned in Gaza in the first month of the war.' Bipin, who came to Israel to study agriculture under the 'Learn and Earn' program, was taken hostage by Hamas on October 7, 2023 from Alumim Kibbutz. On that day, 10 Nepali students were killed in an attack by Hamas. A video of Bipin being taken to the hospital with his head covered while being taken hostage by Hamas was released.
