The commission of inquiry formed to investigate the incidents of 23 and 24 August has said that complaints can be filed not only through email and post, but also in the format available on WhatsApp and the website.

Speaking to Kantipur, Commission member and spokesperson Vigyanraj Sharma told that if all this is not possible, a complaint can be filed in the name of commission at the nearest police office.

Sharma said that a dozen complaints had been registered in the Commission till Sunday and also said that two companies in the private sector had registered complaints with details of the damage. He told the commission that there is a lack of manpower and said that more manpower has been requested from the government.

He said, 'We have prepared to carry out the investigation by employing government employees. We have also asked for forensic, cyber security and other experts. As we cannot reach all over the country, we have asked for details from various agencies.'

commission member and spokesperson Sharma said that in the case of Kathmandu, the incidents that happened on August 23 and 24 from Maitighar Mandal to Tinkune will be investigated in a phased manner. He stated that initially the investigation will proceed through the people assigned to the field and said, 'We will not arrest or prosecute. We call in the statement. After listening to them, we will make a report accordingly.'
