All preparations have been completed to open the Taleju temple, which will be opened for worship and darshan every year on the day of Ashwin Shukla Navami or Mahanavami.
The temple of Taleju Bhavani, which is open only once a year on the day of Mahanavami in Hanumandho's Darbar area, is visited by lakhs of devotees today for worship and darshan.
Kajiman Pyakurel, head of Hanumandho's Darbar Warka Adda, informed that preparations have been completed by opening the Taleju temple and offering darshan to the devotees. Taleju Bhawani was brought to the Mulchowk of Hanumandho Palace on Monday, the day of Phulpati.
It is said that Taleju Bhawani will be returned to the original temple only in the morning of Vijayadashami. On the night of Mahaashtami in Mulchok, 54 goats and 54 rangas are also sacrificed after Kalaratri Puja. It is said that Kalaratri Puja is performed on the night of Maha Ashtami with Tantric method to get the power to run the state .
