Kiran Koli's mother seeks justice from Baitadi in Kathmandu

What you should know

It has been four days since Rajmati Koli came to Kathmandu from Baitadi in the far west and sat on one side of Maitighar Mandal and pleaded for justice. With her 12-year-old son, she is sitting in a corner of the house with a photo frame of her deceased son (Kiran Kohli). Unable to accept the loss of her child, she is constantly crying.

To understand the story of the death of his son Kiran Koli, we have to go back to the incident of July 17.

14-year-old Kiran Koli of Dilasaini rural municipality-3 Giribgad of Baitadi died on 17 July. His death was not normal. Because he went to bathe with his friends in the Chamelia river, which is 500 meters away from his house, and died of electrocution while playing on the nearby sand pile. A few days after the

death, it suddenly spread on social media. From the new facts that have been published one after the other, it has been known that the sand piling work on the river side was done by Ninglasaini Construction. This company  Surendra Bahadur Pal's wife Manisha is registered in the name of Physical Infrastructure Development Minister of Far West.

After the company involved with the minister got into a controversy because he had an accident while riding on the piled sand, Raghuvir Bohra, elected from the UML, deposited five lakhs in his account . According to him, he did not know this. He said that when he was unconscious because he could not accept the death of his son, he put money in his account and did all this together with local leaders and leaders to suppress the incident and influence the justice.

  After the

incident, she also tried to report the incident to the local police station. But the police did not register a complaint. She reached the headquarters and also reached the district police office, but justice did not come. Then she sent the complaint by post.

District Police Office Baitadi has informed that a supplementary complaint has been received through post regarding the child Kiran who died one month after the incident and a letter has been sent for identification. Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Rai said that a supplementary complaint has been received from the post office and an investigation is underway.

But she said that she suspected that justice would not be done easily in the incident. She said that the photos and videos taken by her about the incident were forcibly deleted by the local police and five lakhs were put into her account without her knowledge to suppress justice and the police refused to take a complaint immediately and said that justice is difficult.

That's why she came to Kathmandu with her brother-in-law and her 12-year-old son. The 36-year-old said, "I will go to get justice for my son." Instead, if I die, I will die here.' She was raising her family by carrying sand from the local river and said that she was forced to come to Kathmandu because of the grief of her son's death.

He  'Why did five lakh rupees come into my account without a mistake ? Why did the police refuse to file a complaint? Why did the police ask for my mobile phone and throw away the photos taken after the incident, why did they try to delete the evidence?' She is searching for answers with questions like  .

His brother-in-law Tularam Koli (Kiran) was in Saudi Arabia at the time of his nephew's death. He said that he came from Saudi for his single sister-in-law and to get justice for his deceased nephew. He said, "There is no one to speak for the justice of the deceased Kiran". That's why I came to get justice for my nephew, I will leave after getting justice.'

Tularam says that no one listens to him, so he is forced to come to Kathmandu to ask for justice. He says, "When we went to the police station and tried to register a petition, it was not registered. No matter how many initiatives we tried, we came here after not getting justice from anywhere."

Her husband died a few years ago. He had four children . Out of which two daughters are already married. He now has a younger son with him, Kieran was his eldest son.

According to him, Kiran was getting bigger . After a few years, Kiran dreamed of becoming her support. But when her son died due to electrocution while playing in the sand pile, she breaks down with tears in her eyes as her dreams for her son are also shattered.
