A woman from Birgunj has been arrested on the charge of 'threatening' Water Minister Pradeep Yadav. On Saturday, police arrested 23-year-old Kiran Sah, who hails from Bara Kalaiya and is currently living in Birgunj, on the charge of threatening to kill the water supply minister over the phone.

Even before her arrest, Kiran, who is active on social media, had been focusing on the cholera problem through Tik Tok and asking questions from the hospital. Kiran, who has been doing stage shows around Birgunj and in India as well, has millions of followers from Facebook to TikTok. Kiran, who has acted in some Bhojpuri movies and video albums,  She called the Water Minister.

Kiran called Central Food Minister and Parsa MP Yadav and expressed her pain as her family members fell ill due to cholera. DSP Kishore Lamsal of District Police Office Parsa said that Minister's personal secretary Harindra Yadav had filed a complaint accusing him of threatening to kill him during the conversation.

But Kiran's mother Savitri Devi, who was found outside the district police office Parsa on Monday evening, claimed that her daughter did not lie and was not instigated by anyone. According to him, due to diarrhoea, Kiran's father Tulsi Sah and sister Sanjha Sah's 2-year-old daughter Kritika Kumari claimed that she was infected with cholera and was admitted to the National Medical College in Birganj and was treated. According to Savitri, she also had to be admitted to the hospital for a few days due to cough. She said that she and her husband were simultaneously discharged from the hospital on Thursday, but her husband Tulsi was again admitted to the hospital on Saturday due to work fever.

Kiran's cousin Shiv Sah said that her 2-year-old daughter Kirtika, who is infected with cholera, is still being treated in the same hospital. "Kiran had serious mental stress after three members of her family were admitted to the hospital at the same time," she said, "That's why she vented her anger on the minister. There was no need to take this matter so seriously and press on him." In an unconfirmed audio that has gone viral on social media since last Friday, Kiran can be heard shouting loudly at the water minister. In the audio, the woman is heard questioning the minister saying that the minister is responsible for the outbreak of cholera in Birgunj. In the audio, the woman can be heard shouting at the minister saying that people have been admitted to the hospital due to cholera but it does not mean much.

Also, in the audio, the woman has spoken loudly to the minister about her family being in the ICU of the hospital due to cholera. In the audio, Kiran is heard challenging the minister saying, "I will not leave you, I am not afraid" saying that the family admitted in the ICU is not receiving standard treatment. In the audio, the woman has said - 'My family member is admitted to the ICU, Minister.' I will not leave, I am not afraid.'

Kiran is heard expressing anger at the minister saying that the minister did not take any action even though cholera was causing problems to many people in Birgunj. DSP Lamsal said that Sah was arrested on Saturday on the charge of threatening to kill Minister Yadav over the phone.

According to DSP Lamsal, during the statement, she has admitted that she threatened to kill the minister. He threatened to kill me over the phone. We arrested him after receiving a complaint from the minister's secretariat," he said.

DSP Lamsal said that a case has been filed against him on three criminal charges including cyber crime, not threatening to kill MPs and spreading false rumors. According to DSP Lamsal, Sah, who was arrested from Birgunj on Saturday, was produced in the district court on Sunday after interrogation in the court. The court has given three days for investigation. DSP Lamsal said that the investigation is only focusing on the same matter in which the crime was claimed against Sah.

Former union MP and former minister Karima Begum said that the responsible people's representative made a mistake by imprisoning the people. "In a democracy, the people abuse the leader, after becoming a leader, one should have the courage to listen to that," she said, "I have also become an MP and a minister, who will listen to the pain and anger of the people if we don't." She warned that women would strengthen their protest if Kiran was not released immediately.

On Monday, they demonstrated outside the district police office Parsa premises demanding the release of Kiran. Feminists participating in the demonstration said that it was wrong to arrest Kiran as a murderer when she expressed her grievances to the public representative. Holding play cards with various slogans written in their hands, Kiran called the federal government's water supply minister Pradeep Yadav and demanded his release, insisting that he had not committed a crime that should have been jailed.

Central Treasurer of Samajwadi Dalit Mukti Samaj, Tara Kumari Ram, said that it was completely wrong for Kiran to act like a criminal when she raised her grievances with the responsible ministers and public representatives of the Government of Nepal. "In a democracy, a common citizen can't even express his pain and grievances?," she said, "What kind of democracy is it that if a public representative listens to the grievances and anger of the common people, he will be locked up."
