As the second legislative convention of UML approaches, the bitterness between President KP Sharma Oli and former President Bidya Bhandari is increasing. Oli has been making sharp comments against Bhandari in internal and external programs of the party. And Bhandari has also been answering it. This style of answering questions seems to increase the conflict between these two.  After banning Bhandari from becoming an active member of the party, , the conflict is getting worse rather than settling down. UML has officially sent an inter-party directive (APANI) prohibiting speaking in favor of Bhandari in floor committee . But leaders and activists who are dissatisfied with the establishment have sided with Bhandari in a visible and invisible way.

Losing the election and being dissatisfied with Bhim Rawal's way, he will leave the post and stay in the party for a while. Then the party should ask for clarification . Bringing a person who has become a respected president to a place where he has to ask for an explanation?' He said angrily, 'If he contests the election, what is certain is that he will lose badly.' We have to lose for the sake of the party.'

He said that the movement cannot move forward with a leadership that does not inform anyone. "Doesn't work by being redneck". It's a battle ground . A movement to run as a redneck who doesn't show it in everyone's eyes?'' he sarcastically said.

After keeping her membership pending, Bhandari has been publicizing her response. At the opening of the liaison office in Thapagaon on August 5, she objected to the central office raising questions about her membership. I have a question about my membership. Friends say leaders . Vice Presidents Gyawali and Surendra Pandey have already registered a petition at the central office asking to take the different opinions to the debate.

KP Sharma Oli became powerful after being elected as UML president from Chitwan convention in November 2078. But on June 14, on the birthday of former Secretary General Madan Bhandari, former President Bhandari announced that he would be active in politics, and the spark of inter-struggle in UML was revealed . It is not because of the announcement that he will join active politics, but after President Oli said that he is going to take the leadership of UML, President Oli stopped him.
After the Central Committee of July 6 decided to stop Bhandari from active politics of UML, Vice President Yuvraj Gyawali, Surendra Pandey, Standing Committee member Karn Thapa opposed this decision. They have prepared to hold different opinions in the upcoming meeting. At present, although only a small row has opened in the UML in favor of Bhandari, it seems that its influence is beginning to reach the bottom of the party committee. Only a few leaders will pass through this inter-struggle legislative convention and reach the national convention next year.

At present, the voice of the Bhandari side against Oli is being heard in the UML . Oli's leadership has exerted great power to stop the infighting of the UML, which looks small.
