1.  What happened that day ? 

2063 Chait 7 afternoon . Rautahat's headquarters is Gaur's Rice Mill . The Maoist and Madhesi People's Rights Forum agreed to hold a program at the same place at the same time. The local administration had requested not to hold a meeting at the same place. But both parties did not agree. The forum had built a platform in the south corner of the ground and the Maoists in the north corner the day before. The forum was calling its leaders-activists on the stage to start the meeting . Maoist 'YCL' workers were going around Gaur Bazar. After a while, YCL entered the field . Seeing that the stage towards them was destroyed, the Maoists presented themselves in an aggressive manner and a situation of clashes was created.  

2. What happened in the clash ? 
The Maoists have accused the Maoists of brutally killing those who fled for their lives during the clash, where they found them, by hitting them with mukuri, bullets and sticks, and using wooden sticks. Along with clashes from both sides, there was also shooting. According to the on-site study report prepared by the human rights organization INSEC after the Gaur incident, "all the deceased had deep injuries on their heads". They were pelted with bamboo sticks, stones and bricks and set on fire.' 

3. What was the damage in the incident?
27 Maoist activists including 5 women died in the incident. In the complaint registered with the police, it is mentioned that 42 people were injured in the incident. The body of the person who died in the incident was found in 7 places outside Gaur municipality. Nepal Red Cross and the police took out most of the bodies from the drain. 

4. What did the then government do in this incident? 
The then Home Minister Krishna Sitaula, who came to the scene immediately, said that he would investigate and take action against the culprits. The day after the incident, the ministry issued a statement that the government is committed to investigate this very large and violent criminal incident and take action against the culprits. The government immediately formed a high-level investigation team under the coordination of the then judge of the Appellate Court of Patan, Hari Prasad Ghimire. The report of this committee has not been made public yet. After 9 months of the incident, the government compensated the deceased family at the rate of 1 million.

5. What happens now ? 
Tribhuvan Sah, a member of the victim's family of the incident, filed a writ in the Supreme Court. In this writ, the Supreme Court has issued a decree while pronouncing its verdict. After informing the Supreme Court of the order or sending the full text of the judgment for implementation, the police should proceed with the investigation based on the complaint. This investigation report will reach the district court through the district attorney's office.
