On 7th Chait 2063, 27 people were killed in a clash between the Forum and the Maoists at Rice Mill Chowr in Gaur.

After the order of the Supreme Court, it has been seen that 130 people, including Janata Samajwadi Nepal president Upendra Yadav, should be investigated in the Gaur murder case. According to the complaint filed by the victim and the report of the National Human Rights Commission, the police should investigate them.

The joint bench of Justice Til Prasad Shrestha and Nityanand Pandey on Monday gave a order to proceed with the work of the investigation in the murder case.

27 people were killed in a clash between Forum and Maoists at Ricemill Chowr in Gaur on 7th Chait 2063. The family of the deceased received a compensation of 10 lakh rupees from the state after 9 months.

The then Madhesi Janadhikhar Forum and the Maoist Madhesi Mukti Morcha had a clash on the same day on Chait 7, 2063 when they held a program at Gaur Rice Mill in Rautahat. 27 Maoist workers were killed in the incident. 

113 people including Madheshi Janadhikhar Forum leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav, former Assembly Speaker Baban Singh, former MP of Madhesh State Assembly Babulal Shah were involved in the Gaur massacre which killed 27 Maoist activists.
