It has been raining in different parts of the country since morning. One person died and two others were injured in a landslide due to rain.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 60-year-old Bir Bahadur Rai of Rong Rural Municipality-4 of Ilam died in the landslide and two others were injured. 

National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority spokeswoman Shanti Mahat said in a conversation with Kantipur - 'So far one person has died and two have been injured. That's all the update so far.' According to him, 11 road segments including highways and corridors are blocked across the country due to rain. "It will rain at night as well, according to the weather forecast division. Updates continue to come,' spokeswoman Mahat said, 'be careful .' 

Heavy rain is happening in these provinces overnight 

According to Binu Maharjan, a meteorologist of the weather forecasting division, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki province and Lumbini province tonight. 

Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Lumbini, Terai of far west and hilly areas of Karnali region. 

According to him, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in many places of hilly areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, hilly and terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. Also, there is a possibility of moderate rain in some places of hilly and terai areas of the rest of the province. 

Similarly, the division has said that there will be complete change in the hilly areas of the country including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and South Western Provinces.

The Flood Forecasting Division has requested to be on high alert for river banks, inundated coastal areas and landslide prone areas.
