Most of the elderly people of Taplejung's Phattanglung Rural Municipality-7 Olangchungola live in Kathmandu. They get their social security allowance from the ward office Olangchungola. As it is compatible with the banking process, the quarterly facility is taken from the bank in Kathmandu.

This year, National Identity Card and Biometric have been made mandatory for receiving Social Security Allowance. Most of them have made their identity card at the district administration office in Taplejung. For Biometrics, the Ward President Cheten Sherpa Lama has reached Kathmandu, where the service is received, with materials including computers. He has been providing services by staying in the building of Olangchung Social Welfare in Buddh Nayabasti.

According to the ward president Cheten, there are 52 people who receive social security allowance from this ward. 22 of them are in Kathmandu. Some have houses in Kathmandu, some live on rent. All of them are patients taking regular medicines. Health check-up should be done regularly," said the ward president Cheten, "There is no health treatment facility for them in Olangchungola. It takes two days to carry it to the headquarters, Fungling. Now there are no people to bring them to the village. That's why they are forced to stay in Kathmandu.'

He told that even those who live in Kathmandu do not agree to move. Ward president Cheten claims that there are many who die because of Olangchungola. "Some of them say that they would rather not take allowance than to migrate. They say they will go to the village, but their health does not support them," said Cheten, "We have come to Kathmandu and served them." One secretary in the municipality has to look after several wards. He said that he himself went to Kathmandu to get the biometric done because he knows what the ward secretary does.

Similarly, Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu has also conducted an integrated camp at Chuchchepati in Kathmandu for urgent work including social security allowance renewal. Looking at the high mountain range and geographical difficulty, the municipality went there to provide services for the citizens in Kathmandu, said Mingachiri Sherpa, chairman of the rural municipality.  Chief Administrative Officer Navraj Gautam informed that 662 people have served in the

camp. According to him, the camp has been organized in Kathmandu targeting the locals living in Kathmandu due to constraints such as tourism, business, medical treatment. People's representatives and employees of all 5 wards of the municipality have now reached Kathmandu looking for service users.

More than 1100 have taken service from the integrated camp conducted by Nechasalyan Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu in Kathmandu. The municipality conducted a camp at Sukedhara in Kathmandu from July 19 to 22. Village Chairman Dhanjan Rai said that the camp was organized for the convenience of the residents of the municipality who were temporarily living in Kathmandu.
