Improvement in Class 12 results after devolution of school responsibility to local level: Board

Chairman of the National Examination Board, Mahashram Sharma, has said that the results have improved after the responsibility of the school was transferred to the local level. He said that the main reason for the improvement in the Class 12 results published on Monday is that the local level has been given responsibility for school education.

According to the board, 61.17 percent students have passed in class 12th. Last year only 52 percent students passed. President Sharma said that many students have failed (non-graded) in English, Accounts, Social and Nepali this year.

'After the responsibility of the school at the local level, the reading culture has improved, the standards of the question papers have also improved,' he said.
