On Tuesday morning, 18 people were left without contact in Bhotekoshi at Rasuwagadhi Naka. According to Dhruv Prasad Adhikari, Assistant Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, there are 3 policemen, 9 civilians and 6 Chinese nationals among those without contact.
Some of those trapped in the customs yard at the border have been rescued. Police Inspector Shailendra Thapa, Assistant Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force informed that there was difficulty in rescuing some people due to flooding in all directions.
The flood has washed away the Miteri bridge connecting Nepal-China . In addition, the police said that some cargo container bins in the customs yard were destroyed. Likewise The EV charging station at Timure has been damaged. Some of the EVs there have also been swept away. According to the police, the dam of the Rasuwagadhi hydropower project has also been damaged.
The local administration has asked the local citizens to be cautious because of the flow of water in the river.
