A year after being removed from the General Minister of the National Independent Party, Dr. Mukul Dhakal has reached the Supreme Court. In June 2081, Dhakal, who was removed as party general minister, filed a petition seeking the same position, and the Supreme Court has called for a discussion of the interim order.
Judge Kumar Regmi of the Supreme Court decided to call both parties for an interim order while hearing the petition filed by Dhakal on Thursday.
Dhakal had demanded that he be allowed to work as the General Minister of RSVP through an interim order. However, the Supreme Court has refused to give such an order immediately and has set a fee saying that it will also hear the opposition.
'The writ petitioner has also requested an interim order, and as it seems that a decision should be made only through the discussion of both parties, the date of June 17 has been fixed for that purpose . After giving notice to the respondents, the Election Commission among the respondents will be notified to appear with the file along with the letter dated June 4 issued by the Commission in the name of the petitioner,' the order said.
Dhakal has made RSVP, RSVP Central Working Committee, RSVP Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, General Minister Kabindra Burlakoti, Spokesperson Manish Jha and Election Commission as opposition.
Dhakal was dismissed by the RSVP in the last week of June 2081 from the post of party general minister, spokesperson and central member . It was decided at that time that he could stay in the party as an ordinary member . Alleging that he was incompetent to run the party, undisciplined, apolitical, indecent, chaotic behavior and violating the discipline, the RSVP dismissed him to remain only an ordinary member . Dhakal did not go to court for a long time after being sacked as General Minister, Spokesperson and Central Member of RSVP. On June 4, he published a letter from the Election Commission stating that he is still in the post of Chief Minister.
The Election Commission gave a letter to Dhakal saying that the application given by RSVP to update the central office bearers and committee was not updated.
