Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has answered the question raised by Congress MP Purna Bahadur Tamang. MP Tamang objected to the plans of the Ministry of Urban Development and announced that he would play a role in defeating Deputy Prime Minister Singh in the upcoming party convention and the 2084 House of Representatives elections.
Responding to the question raised by the parliamentarians on the allocation of the Ministry of Urban Development in the Tuesday meeting of the House of Representatives, Deputy Prime Minister Singh asked to study the allocation manual. He also clarified how many schemes have been implemented in Ramechhap district.
Deputy Prime Minister Singh said that it is not right to criticize without studying the budget book. Deputy Prime Minister Singh clarified the question raised by Congress MP Tamang elected from Ramechhap about the allocation from the Ministry of Urban Development.
'Let's talk about Ramechhap district . The honorable gentleman has spoken in a loud voice. The Ministry of Urban Development has allocated 0.7 percent of the total budget of the Ministry in the financial year 2082/83 to the district where 0.8 percent of Nepal's population lives in Ramechhap, Singh said. Before I am saying this, I would like to ask you to read this booklet carefully and understand how much has fallen in your district.
Tamang raised questions on the allocation of the Ministry of Urban Development in the meeting of the House of Representatives. Tamang said that Deputy Prime Minister Singh has kept the 207 schemes of the Ministry of Urban Development only in Kathmandu district and has not distributed them to other districts.
'What are you now the man in the line of the Prime Minister ? Where do you go in politics ? In the same way, out of 77 districts, we will be the 15th Congress. At that time, if you are angry, where will your honor be? You will only see Kathmandu district,' he warned, 'You will be discussed in the 15th Congress. We will also win the election. I was going to talk to you in the party, but the party did not hold a meeting.'
MP Tamang said that the party is sinking due to Deputy Prime Minister Singh's actions.
