Negotiations are ongoing between the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals and the government, which started a protest by stopping the public transport. Although they came close to agreement on 6 points in the talks, no agreement was reached on the main demand.

The president of the federation, Vijay Bahadur Swaran, who participated in the talks, said in the main point  He said that he did not agree. He said, 'The discussion is ongoing . We have made our demands. Although the government has agreed on 6 points, they have not been able to agree on the cancellation of the regulations issued by the Gandaki provincial government.'  He said that until the Gandaki province withdraws the regulations, the programs of the movement will remain the same.

After the Gandaki state government introduced the ride sharing regulations, the transport businessmen are protesting with 7 points of demand . Public transport has been stopped in Gandaki province for four days, and since Monday, transport businessmen have stopped the transport across the country . Thousands of passengers are stranded when public transport is stopped.

Gandaki provincial government published in the gazette on 1st of June and introduced regulation 2082 section 2 (h) for private vehicle (red plate) operation, the transport businessmen are saying that they should be repealed.

There is a demand from the transport businessmen who are forced to announce the program of the movement after the public transport sector is displaced due to the law and regulations made by the state government. They say that the seven provincial governments are bringing regulations that are in conflict with the federal law contrary to Section 8 of Section 2 and Section 12 of the Vehicle Act 2049.
