Dahal-Bhattarai relationship: From companionship to enmity

The relationship between Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepal Samajwadi Party (New Shakti) Chairman Baburam Bhattarai is strained again. It is said, 'No one has permanent friends and enemies in politics.' But Dahal and Bhattarai are busy throwing mud at each other over past bitterness.

According to the leaders close to Dahal and Bhattarai, recently the friendship between the two leaders is turning into enmity. Even though they were close together in Maoist, Dahal and Bhattarai used to have more suspicion than trust.

10 years of armed war and peace process for the same period, the struggle and unity between the two leaders continued. Lately, Dahal-Battarai have started seeing each other as enemies. About 30 years of political cooperation between the two leaders has recently deteriorated.

Even after the separation in 2072, the struggle between the two leaders continued. Bhattarai, who won from Gorkha-2 by shouldering Dahal in the 2079 general election, has recently been commenting on the same Dahal as a 'multi-coloured' leader. Dahal also accused Bhattarai this week of being an 'unintelligent doctor'.

Although Dahal and Bhattarai cooperated in the last general election with the aim of uniting the party, it did not last long. Lately, the recriminations between the two leaders have gone down from the political level to the personal level.

Dahal, who reached Rukumkot, the headquarters of Rukum East, during the 'Janawakaran Abhiyan' on the Madhyapahari highway, commented on Bhattarai as a 'mindless doctor' in the 'Janasamwad' program held there. Don't accept the Communist Party, don't call it Marxism! And how to unite with that? Now he is laughing, laughing, laughing and going to join the reactionary. Even the reactionaries don't believe it these days," Dahal added sarcastically to Bhattarai, "Baburam is a laughing stock all over the country. What a wise doctor! People know him as the most intelligent doctor.'

President Dahal mentioned that they cooperated for the purpose of unity in the last election and accused Bhattarai's thinking to be wrong. Now how to bring Baburam? His mind had to be in the right place and he can be brought,'' Dahal said, 'We have to unite with Baburam. It was said that the party will be united when the elections are contested in Gorkha. But now he doesn't even want to hear the name of communist. After saying that I will not unite if the name is Communist Party, now we want to kill Baburam?,'

Bhattarai said that it is useless to comment on the statement of a 'multi-coloured' person. I know Prachanda very well. He is a person who keeps changing colors,' Bhattarai said, 'It is useless to comment on that.'

After the constitution was promulgated in 2072, Bhattarai, who formed 'Naya Shakti' without naming it communist, had become close to Dahal in the last election. But after winning the election from Gorkha-2, Dahal slowly moved away from Bhattarai . At that time, there was an internal agreement between the two leaders on power sharing.

Dahal-Bhattarai relationship: From companionship to enmity

It was agreed that Dahal will remain the executive of the party and Bhattarai will remain at the policy-making level. But after the election results, Dahal became the Prime Minister by forming alliances with UML and Congress. But he ignored Bhattarai. So much so that Dahal did not make him participate in Samajwadi Morcha. At present, the relationship between the two leaders is like an 'enemy'.

Not only Dahal, Bhattarai has been accusing Dahal of royalism. Last October, after meeting RPP Senior Vice President Ravindra Mishra, he commented that Dahal's true form was seen. No matter how hard you cover the cat, it will eventually meow! The truth of the intimate conversation between Prachanda and Mishra is something that they know and say. But everyone who knows about the fierce conflict within the Maoist movement knows that now the cat has meowed,' Bhattarai said, 'because Prachanda's reality is the same.'

Bhattarai narrates the story of Dahal's dialogue with the then King Gyanendra when the Maoist armed war was about to reach its peak, and the republic, secularism, federalism, inclusive democracy, not from the eyes of a great man or an invisible force. He also claimed that it was achieved through the incomparable sacrificial struggle of the oppressed people. Bhattarai's comment was immediately denied by Dahal's secretariat.

Bhattarai became another power center even while he was in the Maoists . Due to his intellectual and academic image, he became a national/international personality . There was a kind of pressure on Dahal due to his political and intellectual relationship with Bhattarai, who studied in India. Dahal did not like the fact that there were two power centers in the Maoists, which is why he wanted to keep Bhattarai away from the armed struggle.

After the constitution was promulgated in 2072, after Bhattarai separated from the Maoists, Dahal became 'high-spirited' . But after winning the election in the last general election, Dahal reached the constituency of Bhattarai . Bhattarai also wanted to make his daughter Manushi Yami Bhattarai a candidate in Kathmandu-7 with the support of Maoists.

But his wish was not fulfilled . At that time, Bhattarai's party entered the field with the election symbol of Maoists. NESP also won one union and two provincial members . Finally, NESP leader Mahindra Rai Yadav split NESP and joined the Maoists. Ganganarayan Shrestha, a member of Bagmati Province who was in NESP at that time, is in the final preparations to unite with the Maoists . Currently, Fanindra Devkota, the provincial member of Gandaki who is with Bhattarai, is the energy minister.

Dahal and Bhattarai's series of struggles is long . Bhattarai became close to the CPN Mashal led by Dahal after the conflict with the then General Minister of CPN Masal, Mohan Vikram Singh. In the 2046 Jan Andolan, Bhattarai became the spokesperson of the Joint Jan Andolan Committee and became close to Dahal. After the merger in 2048, Dahal became the party president, Bhattarai became the president of the Electoral Morcha United Janamorcha . While Dahal was underground, the conflict between the two started to escalate after Bhattarai's discussion started.

When the Maoists started armed conflict in February 2052, Dahal was the party's general secretary. At that time, some people started saying that Dahal, who was known as 'Prachanda', was Baburam Bhattarai. Dahal was not satisfied with that either. After the Maoist armed struggle intensified in August 2055, after Dahal centralized the leadership, Bhattarai took a different view.

After he proposed that the party should be run under collective leadership, the differences between the two leaders got heated. So much so that within the Maoists, Dahal was accused of being an 'Indian broker'. In October 2061, Bhattarai was prosecuted and detained by the Janasena after expressing a written disagreement against Dahal. He was threatened with 'possible physical action' at any moment.

In 2062, after the two leaders agreed on competitive politics, the action against Bhattarai was withdrawn . He was assigned to negotiate with political parties. Accordingly, in November 2062, a 12-point agreement was reached with seven parties in New Delhi, India. The power struggle between Dahal and Bhattarai came to an end. After coming to the peace process, in November 2067, differences flared up again in Palungtar of Gorkha. Bhattarai expressed displeasure at the proposal that Dahal should take the 'line of rebellion'.

In the central committee held in August 2068, there was an agreement between Dahal and Bhattarai to move forward on a democratic path without a public uprising. After increasing pressure on Dahal with the help of Vaidya, Bhattarai became the Prime Minister in October 2068. Later on October 9, 2072, Bhattarai left the Maoist party saying that he would build a new political power.

In 2074, Bhattarai was elected in coordination with the Congress in the House of Representatives elections. But an alliance was formed between UML and Maoists. Then the party united . In November 2079, Bhattarai's party is ready to run on the Maoist party's election symbol.

In the general election held in November 2079, Dahal was made a candidate in Gorkha-2, which Bhattarai was winning. But the party unity process was interrupted in February 2080 after there was a problem in the distribution of power between the two leaders. Since then, political/non-political accusations have been going on between Dahal and Bhattarai.

Shrestha group returned to Maoist, main Bhangala is separate

Dahal-Bhattarai relationship: From companionship to enmity

Maoist chairman Dahal, who has been saying that the atmosphere of Maoist unity is being created, united the party with Ganganarayan Shrestha group of Nepal Samajwadi Party this week. But the main forces are separated from the Maoists. Mohan Vaidya, Baburam Bhattarai and Netravikram Chand, who separated from the Maoists, have run a separate party.

Maoists and Chand's Nepal Communist Party are preparing to unify but it is not happening . Chand's CPN has made a formal decision for party unity. But the Maoists are delaying it. Due to which unity has not been achieved.

Former Maoist senior leaders Vaidya and Bhattarai have been saying that there is no possibility of unity with Maoists. In the last general election, between Maoist Chairman Dahal and Bhattarai, Dahal was made a candidate in Gorkha 2 to unite the party. But after the election, there has been no positive dialogue between Dahal and Bhattarai.  Vaidya has been saying that there is no possibility of unity, saying that the Maoists have gone on the "right-wing revisionist" path.

In Dahal's Maoist unity campaign, only the Ganganarayan Shrestha group, which separated from the Maoists and joined the Nepal Samajwadi Party, has returned.

A group of NESP under the leadership of Shrestha, who is also a member of the Wagmati State Assembly, has merged with the Maoists. After the talks between the Maoist and NESP Shrestha group, the former Maoist leader Shrestha has returned to his old home. In the last election, Nepal Samajwadi Party Maoist stood up with the election symbol.

It has also been decided to nominate Shrestha for the post of secretary in Maoist. "Ganganarayan Shrestha, who led the party adjustment, will be the Central Secretary of CPN (Maoism Center) and all the remaining comrades who will be adjusted will be respectfully divided with organizational responsibilities," said the agreement signed by Maoist Chairman Dahal and Shrestha. In the

agreement, it is mentioned that the guiding principles of the party will be Marxism-Leninism and Maoism and the program of the party will be a program of socialist revolution according to Nepali characteristics. "For the socialist revolution, all forms of movement including streets, houses and government will be adopted according to the situation." The party will be operated in accordance with the principle of democratic centrality of freedom of thought and uniformity in work, and the way to discuss some ideological issues within the party line will be kept open until the convention.

Baburam Bhattarai left Maoist in October 2072. New Shakti Party was formed in May 2073. Shrestha was at that time embarking on a new power . After the Nepal Samajwadi Party split in March 2080, Shrestha left Bhattarai and joined Mahindra Rai Yadav. After ten years, he has returned to the Maoist with an official position . The Yadav group is on the stand of not uniting the party in the name of Maoist .

Despite being included in the Maoists, he has not been given the responsibility of others except Shrestha . Preparing to do more homework and give responsibility to other leaders . The Shrestha group claims that 100 of the 160 central members of the Nepal Samajwadi Party have joined the Maoists. Speaking at the party adjustment program, Maoist President Pushpa Kamal Dahal claimed that reactionaries are trying to destroy UML Maoist unity and said that polarization has started after the adjustment of Nespa Shrestha group. This is a great start . It will open new doors . Communists will be polarized, he said,  "The campaign to prepare the basis of the socialist revolution has started."

He said that he will unite with NSP President Mahindra Rai Yadav. He will also unite with Mahindra Rai Yadav . He will go to the Maoist center. Ganganarayan Shrestha said that because of the split in the Maoists, he had encouraged the regressives. At that time, there was a debate on the Maoists to proceed on the socialist path. It led to disintegration. Looking back now, it wasn't good'  He said, "Regressives took advantage of that". Party unity is the need of the day.' Unal said that socialism is not possible with separate furnaces. Yesterday's Maoists should come together. "Socialist forces should also get together," he said. Returning to the Story-BREA Maoists, he said that the former Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai would be appropriate to move forward with the ownership of the armed war, and NBSP;. "Baburam Bhattarai should own people's war and NBSP;. Because he is an important leader of the people's war, 'he said & NBSP;. Similarly, Nepal, the National Party is also mixed in the Maoists, and Nbsp ;.. UCPN (M) Chairman Dahal and Nepal: Chairman of the party: the victory conquered unity. • Break-Break Dahal-Break Dahal-Break Dahal-Break Dahal-Break Dahal-Bashk Dahal-Bashk Dahal-Break Dahal-Breast Dahal-Breakdha Ratra-Break
