Thirtha of Baglung Municipality-3 used to collect garbage in the sanitation branch of Poudel Municipality. About 35 lakh rupees received from the municipality were deposited in the Image Savings and Loan Cooperative. It was expected that 18 percent interest would come from the said money.

Two to four months of interest was also taken . But on May 6, 2079, the gate of the cooperative was locked due to lack of liquidity. All the money he had spent his whole life was sunk . For two years, the victims protested demanding the return of their savings.

He also walked behind in the same movement. The victim is drawing the state's attention to the fact that the savings of one and a half billion were defrauded. 1 thousand 547 victims also registered a cooperative fraud case. Devkumar Nepali, the founding president of the cooperative and head of Dhorpatan municipality, was arrested.

He has been in the district jail since last October. Until he was arrested, many hoped to get the money back . But after he was jailed, that hope has turned into disappointment. According to the order of the court, all the directors of the cooperative, including the chairman Nepali, have been sent to prison. But now there is confusion as to what will happen to the cheated amount of the victim. When will they get the amount they cheated? They are walking with curiosity.

Paudel, who has worked in garbage all his life, is now drowning in worry again after sinking money. He said, "In old age, when we can eat sweet food and be happy, we have to carry only sorrow and pain." He said, "When will we get justice?" He said that there will be no justice just by going to Nepali jail. Instead, the victim says that justice will be done only if the cheated money is returned.

Krishna and Sarita Kandel, who owned a shop selling plastic goods in Baglung's Harishankar Road, now cry because of their money. Sarita complained that all her earned money was lost when the business went down. Sarita had deposited 2 crore rupees earned from business throughout her life in the cooperative.  Not only that, she also brought her sister's money and deposited it in the hope of attractive interest. After this money has been sunk, their condition has also become weak.

Financially, Sarita is also suffering physically and mentally. 'No sleep at night, no hunger during the day,' she says. She has been engaged in street struggle for two years, saying that the money of cooperative victims can be returned.

'Legal justice is not enough for us, we need relief' she said, 'even if Devkumar is in jail for many years, if our money is not returned, then what justice is there for us?' For that, lawyers and judges should understand their pain. She said that most of the savers did not seek interest, rather they wanted to return even if it was up to 80 percent of the total savings.

According to the law, there is a provision to pay a large sum of money in a fraud case and to spend a few years in jail . But she said that it would not be justice for the victim. The victims demand that the savings should be returned to give justice to the victims. After the agreement of 545 savers, the amount of those who had saved less than 1 lakh three months ago has been returned on behalf of Nepali.

They withdrew the case after agreeing to receive the amount in Gharsar . Dil Bahadur Karki, chairman of the committee, said that the Image Cooperative Victims Sangharsh Committee has returned those who have saved less than 1 lakh rupees by taking loans from the "Harness Company". Advocate Ram Sharma said that he has introduced a new option of consent to return the victim's money .

"If there is a reconciliation, the Nepalese can come out and sell the property and pay the amount," Sharma said, "If he stays in jail, there will be no way for the victim to get the money." According to him, 1,462 people have reconciled without money. They have made an agreement to get the money in Gharsar. He said that the Nepalese will not be released from prison until all the whistleblowers return the case because of the cooperative fraud case.

The Nepali, who has been missing since 4th of June 2079, was arrested by the police from India and brought to Nepal in October 2080. According to the order of the district court, he is in custody pending trial. In the case of Pokhara-based Surya Darshan Cooperative, , the court has ordered the bail of 2 million. Nepalis are accused of embezzling one billion 54 million rupees in Image Cooperative alone. It was also revealed in the preliminary investigation of the co-operative registrar's office in Pokhara that an amount of 1.54 billion rupees was embezzled in Baglung, Galkot, Burtiwang and Pokhara. Apart from that, Nepalis have also taken a loan of 35 million rupees from Baglung-based cooperative bank, Garima Bikas Bank and Global IME Bank.

Other officers of Image, Chitra Bahadur Bhandari, Narmati Budha, Shakti Kisan, Dor Bahadur Periyar and Anita Budhamgar have been arrested in the case of co-operative fraud. They were remanded in custody by the order of District Court Baglung dated 5th July 2080.
