Class 12 exams are being conducted from Sunday in examination centers across the country. According to the National Examination Board, 5 lakh 11 thousand 525 examinees will participate in the examination.
3 lakh 95 thousand 908 regular students and 1 lakh 15 thousand 617 part-time students are participating. According to the board, 1,591 exam centers have been assigned to give the class 12 exam to the students of 5,202 schools. Out of which 38 students from Everest School in Japan will participate in the exam from the same center. Out of 77 districts, there are 45 candidates from Manang and 68 thousand 133 candidates from Kathmandu. According to the board, 1/1 in Manang/Mustang and the most 162 examination centers in Kathmandu.
48 thousand 209 people will be employed in the exam which will be conducted till May 2nd. The Kathmandu-centered street movement along with the educational strike of the Nepal Teachers' Federation pushed the scheduled exam back by 10 days from Baisakh 11. Controller of Examination Krishna Prasad Sharma issued a statement and appealed to make the examination clean, dignified, disciplined, orderly and student-friendly.

The board said that the examination of the SEE answer book, which was stopped due to the teacher's movement, has also started. There has been a delay of about 3 weeks due to teacher's non-participation in the answer sheet test which ended on 18th of Chaitra. Although the board is scheduled to release the SEE results in the first week of June, it is expected to be delayed by a few weeks.
