The police have released the details of the arrest of Durga Prasai and her bodyguard Deepak Khadka from Bhadrapur in Jhapa.
In a statement signed by police spokesperson Dinesh Kumar Acharya, it is mentioned that Prasai and Khadka have been detained for necessary investigation.
The police arrested Durga Prasai, the commander of the violent demonstration by the royalists, and brought him to Kathmandu. He was absconding after inciting violence in the name of 15th Chait demonstration.
In the violent demonstration of Rajawadi, Prasai trampled the police and trampled the vehicle, while his supporters pelted stones, vandalized, arson and looted a total of 40 structures including various public and private buildings, media houses and commercial centers. Similarly, 69 public and private vehicles were damaged. Journalist Suresh Rajak and presenter Savin Maharjan were killed in the incident, while 129 people were injured, five people are still in hospital.
