There was a controversy after the main opposition party Maoist tried to raise the issue of Kulman Ghising in the Public Accounts Committee meeting. Physical Infrastructure Minister Devendra Dahal and Secretary are present in Tuesday's meeting to discuss BP Highway, Postal Highway.
As soon as the minister was present, Chairman Rishikesh Pokharel started the proceedings of the meeting. Soon after, Maoist MP Amanlal Modi asked for time at the beginning to hold a discussion on current issues. However, the Chairman asked to keep the opinion when it came to the agenda of the meeting .
However, Modi demanded to be able to express opinions on matters of public importance. The ruling MP asked to speak later saying that the agenda of Tuesday's meeting was different. After that there was a conversation between Speaker Pokharel and Maoist MP Modi. Modi raised the issue of demanding the resignation of Chairman Pokharel. Also, the ruling MP stopped when he was about to raise the issue of Kulman.
UML's Tara Lama Tamang, Congress's Ramkrishna Yadav, Manju Khan and Mohan Basnet supported Chairman Pokharel. UML MP Gokul Baskota asked for a dharna on current issues in the next phase only after discussing the agenda.
Maoist MP Modi was supported by RSVP's Manish Jha and Hari Dhakal. Hull After that, Raswap MP Dhakal asked who will conduct the meeting. UML MP Lama replied to Dhakal's question, have we come only to watch? RSVP MPs Dhakal and Jha asked not to answer saying that they asked the Speaker.
