The main opposition Maoist center believes that the government's decision to remove the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, is objectionable.
Agniprasad Sapkota, vice president and spokesperson of the Maoist Center, issued a statement on Tuesday and questioned the government's decision to remove Ghising. The Maoists have said that this step was taken to spread psychological panic on the skilled administrator.
'The government's decision to remove the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghisingh, is disgraceful and objectionable. This decision made in the interests of middlemen and brokers is the latest example of misgovernance,' said the Maoist, 'This decision is made with the intention of creating psychological panic on all skilled administrators who work with honesty and integrity.'
The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to remove Ghisingh from the post on the proposal of Energy Minister Deepak Khadka.
It is also mentioned in the statement that there is no truth in the propaganda that Maoists supported to remove Ghising.
