Deputy General Secretary of the Maoist Center and Member of Parliament Janardan Sharma has said that no one will believe the government's basis for removing Kulman Ghising as the executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority because he was unable to work. Sharma said that the government made a big mistake by removing Ghising and would regret it in the future.
In Tuesday's meeting of the Public Accounts Committee, MP Sharma said that people do not believe that the government removed Ghising because he was unable to work. The MD of the Electricity Authority was removed by the government yesterday. After looking at the allegations made by the government after his removal, the main accusation is that he was unable to work . It was thought that there is some serious issue or the reason for removal, but there is no such serious issue,' Sharma said, 'No one should believe such a thing . It is our country's misfortune to be removed with such absurd arguments and I request the government to correct the decision.'
Sharma also said that the government will regret removing Ghising as the executive director. He was appointed from the most qualified person in the market at that time, in the first term. The government made a big mistake, it will be regretted tomorrow,' he said.
RSVP MP Manish Jha demanded that the audit committee's opinion on the removal of Kulman should be made public. He questioned how the arrears of electricity taken by the industrialist for the dedicated feeder and trunk line will be raised.
