Baburam Bhattarai has been elected as the President of NESP (New Power). A central member informed that Bhattarai was elected as the president after defeating another candidate for the president, Netra Chapagai, in the election held under the first convention.
Earlier, 20 central members including two vice presidents have been elected unopposed. The 99-member central committee was voted for 79 positions including officers.
The results of the election will be announced at a press conference at 5 pm on Thursday. NESPA (New Power) said.
