Madan Rai, who is known as an agricultural expert, has been sentenced to 2 and a half years in prison in the case of child sexual abuse. District Court Khotang Judge Narayan Prasad Dahal's bench gave the sentence to Rai on Friday.

According to Sudip Kumar Bhattarai, information officer of the court, the bench has convicted Rai of an offense of moral turpitude. According to Information Officer Bhattarai, Rai has been fined 1 lakh.

Similarly, he has also been ordered to pay compensation of 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees to the victim. Similarly, Rai has to deposit Rs 4,000 in the victims' relief fund. Judge Dahal's bench found Rai guilty on January 10. . Rai, who was arrested on May 29, 2080 on the charge of sexually abusing a girl studying in the Shubham Foundation, which was run by himself, was released from District Court Khotang on May 22 after posting a bail of four lakh rupees. Even though he was released on bail, Rai was prevented from going to the foundation.
