Congress leader and former tourism minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has said that the Nepal Air Service Corporation is about to sink due to the rise of mafia. Shahi, who is also the former Chief Minister of Karnali, told a press conference held in Khalanga on Sunday that he was suspended for 6 months and went out for a meeting after being acquitted in the case.
After being acquitted by a special court in the widebody procurement case, the leader has gone on a tour of various districts of Shahi Karnali. "The attempt to connect me to a case that I am not involved in has failed," he said. "Now I will be more active in politics." This is why the people came out to meet.
Leader Shahi also said that the government has not done as much as it should for the earthquake victims of Rukum and Jajarkot. He said that the Karnali government has allocated 22 million for the reconstruction of health institutions, schools and community buildings in the earthquake-affected areas and it will be implemented soon.
