Chairman of Public Accounts Committee Rishikesh Pokharel has removed his personal secretary Anil Kumar Pokharel who was accused of fraud. Speaker Pokharel has removed the personal secretary by writing a letter to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
According to Parliament Secretariat spokesperson Ekram Giri, Speaker Pokharel has sent a letter on Friday asking for the removal of the personal secretary.
The Biratnagar High Court gave a mandate to the District Police Office Morang to investigate the fraud of Anil Kumar Pokharel, the personal secretary of the President Pokharel. Anil Pokharel was working as President Pokharel's personal secretary until Friday as the decree was certified on December 11.
Chairman Pokharel's letter to the Parliament Secretariat says, 'I have been seriously drawn to the news published in various media that an arrest warrant has been issued by the Morang High Court for Anil Kumar Pokharel, who is working as my personal secretary. With the aim of assisting in the investigation of the various allegations made against him, I request that he be expelled from the responsibility of my personal secretary with effect from today.'
Anil Pokharel, the personal secretary of the chairman of the audit committee, Pokharel, said that he had access to the top, and took 38 lakh 80 thousand rupees from Boualal Chaudhary, assuring him that his daughter's name would be removed in the MBBS entrance. After his daughter's name did not appear in MBBS, when he asked for the money back, he threatened Bani Choudhary to take a loan of 50 lakhs.
Area Police Office Rangeli and District Police Office Morang did not accept Chaudhary's complaint. The district attorney's office refused to write a letter to the police to register a complaint. Pokharel is said to have done the act under the guise of political power.
Anil Kumar Pokharel is a member of UML's Morang District Committee. In the election of 2079, he was recommended by the district committee as a candidate for the state assembly member. Anil Kumar Pokharel was the private secretary since Rishikesh Pokharel became the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee as a Member of Parliament.
