CPN United Socialist General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal has said that the economic and political crisis has given birth to pure 'new' populists (populists) whose ideas/theories have not been mixed. In the political report passed by the Standing Committee meeting on Monday, he said that populists will come after the political failures embraced by the old parties. The standing committee has passed the report with the suggestions of the leaders.

"Today's economic and political crisis has given birth to purely 'new' populists with no idea/ideology mixed in," the report says, "Populism in any country comes riding on the horse of old politics, i.e. old parties' worthlessness". That is what is happening now.' He mentioned that UML President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has started populist politics.

'KP Oli institutionalized populist politics, it was making other party leaders populist' he wrote,  "The incident of shouting slogans against the Prime Minister is a continuation of that." He said that since the leadership of the Congress-UML has made an agreement with "broker capitalism" for the past few decades, it is against the ideology they have been adopting.

Mentioning that the most popular information technology (especially social media) has been made a tool, he said, "Currently, the same populism itself has helped the rise of the far-right in America and Europe". "Coincidentally, it was KP Oli who organized populism in Nepal in favor of information technology/social media," he wrote in the report.

'Deception when political leadership does not fulfill promises'

General Secretary Bhusal's report states that the leadership of old political parties only give assurances but people are angry when promises are not fulfilled. "The political leadership is unable to fulfill its promises, so the people think that they have been cheated." The question has arisen whether the forces of the republic can lead the republic or not,'' he analyzed, 'due to which the frustration and anger among the people is increasing . There is a big psychological trauma in the communist movement. On this occasion, the social fringes are insulting the republic on the streets. Ideas/ideologies are being mocked.' 

Similarly, Bhusal estimates that the dissolution of parliament and the division of the CPN in Oli's previous tenure will have a long-term impact. "The dissolution of the Parliament and the division of the CPN is a phenomenon that has a very wide, deep and far-reaching impact on the communist movement and the country's politics," writes Bhusal,  "In countries like ours, broker worship hijacks the economy and politics and keeps the politics and economy in crisis." Imperialism uses these crises to maintain its control over politics and the economy. The development of national capital is the way that makes politics national and independent.'

'Socialist program primary condition'

Bhusal has also pointed out the reason for not being able to become a unified socialist national party. "A socialist program, a visionary and strong-willed political party and strong public support are the primary conditions," he writes He said that he lost an opportunity for development. "After 2046, the Nepali Congress lost another great opportunity by leaving the market in charge," he wrote, "because of KP Oli, the country has lost another historic opportunity". According to the report, it cannot solve the country's problems. "Because of that party and especially the leadership, it cannot solve the crisis cycle". In terms of parliamentary values, they are made up of two big parties," the report said, "in terms of ideas, they are socialist and capitalist, in terms of politics, they are parties that were brought to the government by the court's mandate and removed from the government, in terms of tendencies, they are leaders who are ready to do anything for power . As a result, there is no possibility that the country's problems will be solved by them.

Bhusal's analysis is that the issue of constitutional amendment brought forward by the Congress-UML will further increase the political conflict. Whatever they do now, the problem will increase. The opposition to power will increase . "The ruling coalition tries to respond to the opposition with repression and conspiracy," Bhusal's report says, "and that will increase the populist anarchy." Anarchy and oppression will increase and the country may go further into the abyss of anarchy. In short, the government may become fascist and the streets may become chaotic.

The report states that if this government is dissolved and another government is not replaced due to geopolitical reasons, it will be even weaker. If this alliance is broken due to their interests and geopolitical reasons, a new coalition government of many parties' interests may be formed in its place. Such a coalition will be politically weaker than the current coalition," says the report, "because the current coalition is the strongest coalition that can be formed within the current parliament. Even the weak alliance that can be formed in its place will help to lead the country to more terrible instability and anarchy. Efforts may be made to bring revivalist and populist forces together, but it is not easy for them to lead a major political initiative. Therefore, along with the inaction of the government and its opposition, this alliance may last until 2084. He claimed that it will increase the economic and political tension and after the 2084 election, the country's political situation may deteriorate even more abnormally.

'Solving party problems during the movement'

General Secretary Bhusal has claimed that the party has a historic role to protect the constitution by restoring the parliament. "To his credit, party building and  Could not be established in parliamentary elections. "Alliance parties also used us as much as possible," he said.

"Now we have to start building the party with a clear plan, determination and courage, that means the whole party should go to the movement," the report states, "a long list of ideological, theoretical, political and organizational problems can be made".
