Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that relations with India will not deteriorate if the Prime Minister of Nepal goes to China first. The Islam follower insisted that this will not be the case in politics as he visited Ajmer Sharif Dargah only after visiting Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi. He gave symbolic meaning to Nizamuddin and Ajmer as India and China.
On the second day of the Kantipur Conclave-2024 organized by the Kantipur Media Group in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Oli said that the sovereign country has the freedom to visit wherever it suits, in the last session on Thursday.
'Islamists have a holy place, Ajmer Sharif Darga, before going there they say they should visit Nizamuddin in Delhi,' Oli said, 'I don't understand which is Nizamuddin or which is Ajmer in politics.' He joked that America should not think of Nizamuddin when he came.
'There is no Ajmer and Nizamuddin for us,' he said, 'We have two great, huge neighbours, we should have good relations with both. Going to China will not spoil the relationship with India, there is no reason for it to spoil.' He said that he had met with many representatives including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese Foreign Minister in the US. Oli said that neighbors should not be treated like 'YouTube' who gets angry over small things. He said that the relations with the neighbors are deep and prehistoric.
