Roads were blocked in a dozen places in Tanahun due to incessant rain for two days. Various road sections of Tanahun's Byas municipality, Bhanu municipality, Bandipur rural municipality, Myagde rural municipality, Devghat rural municipality, Shuklagandaki municipality were blocked due to landslides.
Deepak Rai, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Tanahun informed that traffic was blocked due to landslides in various places under the Prithviraj highway and inner road section.
According to him, the road has been blocked in Beas municipality-12 Ghansikuwa, Chirkane, Bandipur rural municipality-1 Chisapani, Chunpahara, Myagde rural municipality-6, Mauryodar, Bhanu municipality-1 customs under the Prithviraj highway. According to him, efforts are being made to clear the road in all places. He said, "Because it is raining, there has been a problem by removing the clothes."
Similarly, Beas municipality-3 near Madi Bridge has been blocked due to road flooding. During the expansion of the Muglin-Pekhara road, a diversion road was built at this place for the construction of a culvert.
The police said that a hole was dug for the construction of a culvert and the water in the hole caused the road to flood.
