A meeting was held between Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who came to participate in the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations. On this occasion, the two discussed UN peacekeeping missions, climate change and transitional justice.

Secretary General Guterres appreciated Nepal's contribution to the peace mission. Nepal is currently one of the countries that send troops to UN peacekeeping missions.

Also, on that occasion, Secretary General Guterres also praised the role played by Nepal as the president of less developed countries. On the occasion of the

meeting, there was a conversation between the two people about climate change and also about the Himalayan region's agenda. According to the United Nations, Secretary General and Prime Minister Oli also discussed the issue of transitional justice in Nepal.
