Slogans have been raised against Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal outside the Madhesh Provincial Assembly. Leaders/MPs from five parties have raised slogans accusing Speaker Mandal of conducting the provincial assembly in a biased manner.

Today, Chief Minister Jitendra Prasad Sonar (Sonal) had proposed a vote of confidence. However, after two MPs from the CPN-Maoist Center announced a rebellion, it was certain that Sonal would not get a vote of confidence. Sonal-backed parties are claiming that the Speaker skipped the agenda and allowed MP Rahbar Ansari to speak. Sonal had said that the Speaker had resigned because of the Speaker and that the Speaker should take full responsibility. Sonal claims that federalism is in trouble because of him. Sonal-backed parties had requested the Speaker Mandal to postpone the election on the vote of confidence for a while. However, the Speaker Mandal had directed the voting to be held as per the rules of conduct of the provincial assembly. Madhesh government collapsed in 25 days
