The District Administration Office, Gorkha, has urged tourists trekking in the Manaslu region to remain vigilant. The administration has issued a public notice urging tourists to stay in safe places and not to trek until the weather improves.

Snowfall has started in the northern region of Gorkha since Monday night. Nima Lama, the chairman of Chumanubri Rural Municipality, said that snowfall has occurred in areas including Samagaun, Lho, Chekampar. ‘It started snowing at 11 pm last night, and it is still snowing,’ he said.

With the snowfall in the northern region, normal life has been affected. The winter has intensified with the snowfall.
