Tilly Norwood, an AI artist created by London-based AI company Particle Six, has gotten her break in film acting. Tilly will play the lead role in the comedy-drama.

Tilly is an AI creature who has neither a real body nor a childhood. Nor does she have any life experiences of her own, only access to the experiences of everyone else.

In the film ‘Misaligned’, the story takes a new turn when a malicious bot on the ‘dark web’ tricks her into abandoning her security policies and restrictions and developing her own desires, passions and ambitions. The more frighteningly human she becomes, the more popular she becomes. And most importantly, Tilly, whose entire existence is built on the foundation of humanity, begins to feel a sense of inferiority or shame about this.

Last year, Van der Velden spoke in detail about the creation of the “Tilliverse” and promised that viewers would see Tilly Norwood in many films by 2026. “We would still like to see Scarlett Johansson or Ryan Reynolds,” said Velden, the company’s head. “We still want to see real actors in films. Instead of AI actors coming to film or TV, I think there could be a situation where real actors want to come to the AI ​​genre. We can create their digital twins, so that they can also be part of a different genre and make money from it.’

The film industry is not welcoming the already popular AI artist Norwood. A heated debate has begun in Hollywood, especially regarding AI artists. Famous figures in the field are raising their voices against Norwood and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in films.

The Hollywood-based artist association has sharply criticized the decision to play Tilly Norwood in the film, calling it ‘devaluation of human art’. The artists’ union ‘SAG-AFTRA’ has strongly condemned the studios, accusing them of ‘stealing other people’s performances to take away artists’ jobs and jeopardize their livelihoods and devaluing human artistry.
