The Patan High Court has dismissed a writ petition filed seeking to stop the screening of the film 'Lalibazar'. Earlier, the court had issued a short-term interim order. A bench of Justices Khadanand Tiwari and Netraprakash Acharya ordered not to continue the interim order after hearing arguments from both sides. Earlier, a single bench of Justice Prakash Dhungana had issued a short-term interim order along with a show-cause order. The court has dismissed the interim order, paving the way for the screening. The production side has informed that the film will be screened from April 25. Roshni Nepali had filed a writ petition on behalf of the plaintiff community, demanding to stop the screening of the film. The film, directed by Yama Thapa, was in preparation for screening from April 18. The film produced by Shatkon Arts claims that it is based on the story of the struggle of women from the Badi community.
