Currently eight films are being screened in the hall. But unfortunately Nepali films are not the same. Yo Man Te Mero Nepali Ho, the only film released last June, did not last even a week. Only two films Citamol and Mohr are releasing in July.

In August, Haritalika is planning to release a film after Teej. But the situation in October is completely different. At least four films have set release dates in the short period from Dasain's Ghatasthapana to Phulpati.

Currently, the theaters are not getting any Nepali films, and the producer is worried about which film will get the theaters on Dasai . With only 7 weeks left for Dasai, all the four films are ready to face Dasai in style.

After defeating Ghatasthapana, Upendra Subba's release 2 is opening the fire of Mahavhidanta . Soon, Abhimanyu (Hindi Dub) will also come to fight along with Sacrifices in Phoolpati, Hari Bahadur's shoes, Maitighar. Fortunately, Ashok Sharma's Double Triple, which was earlier scheduled to be released on Dasai, has been postponed to avoid crowding.

Biraj Bista's Maharajdhiraj and Vasant Niraula's Dasami, who had already made preparations four months ago to fight on Dasain, celebrated the Dasami. After one film after another, both the films have not shown the courage to shoot.

It is true that Dasain has always been a hot cake for the film business as it is a long holiday and festive atmosphere. Once upon a time, Nepali films were released in the turn system. In this way, the producers of big banners used to make Dasain release as the date of their films. Chhabiraj Ojha ate many Dasais in this way . After

, after the rule of open competition, many producers brought films targeting Dasai, but they were successful, only Deepakraj Giri . He enjoyed the Dasain business for a few years from the Chakka Panja series. Even in last year's Phoolpati, Giri didn't bring 5 sixes, but the situation has changed.

Biraj Bhatt's 12 villages stormed his single market. In the competition, the lamp of Deepakraj also got lit in front of the burden of Samir Bhatt of the nephew's generation . This time, he did not want to come to the ring of Dasain fight.

This time, producer, director Santosh Sen is going to come with Samir as a sacrifice, while director Dipendra Kumar Khanal is holding Hari Bahadur, the famous character of Harivansh Acharya, and is trying hard to get out of Hari Bahadur's shoes . Similarly, another producer, Rohit Adhikari, is showing great confidence in the funeral home by carrying a daffa with Dhiraj Magar, Kedar Ghimire, Prakash Saput, Upasina Singh Thakuri. In terms of

production, the Hindi version of another Nepali film, Abhimanyu, is about to take a beating. And, the Hindi film Kantara 2, which will be released on Dasain itself, may overwhelm all the 5 Nepali films, and if Hollywood films also come to compete, the Dasain competition may be expensive .

After all, why do films with big banners and prospects choose December for screening? Why do they dare to fight with millions of investments at stake even in numbers that the hall cannot handle? The simple answer is, Dasain Bida. During Dasai there is a longer holiday than other times . Nepali filmmakers wait for Dasai with the aim of turning this holiday into a business. Family gatherings are held on Dasain holidays, the family is more likely to spend time, money and time than watching a movie.

This year Dasain holiday from Phoolpati to Dwadashi covers exactly 6 days . To turn this holiday into a business, Nepali filmmakers are scrambling to screen the film on the same date. At other times, Nepali films need protection, even those who do not release films on the same date are silent on Dasain because of the long holiday.

Even last year's Dasai business seems to have led to the clash this time, the producer . Last year, 'Chakka Panja 5', '12 Village' and 'Zwaiin Saap', which were released together at Phoolpatti, got massive audiences and earned money. '12 Village' alone did a business worth 20 crores while Chakka Panja 5 also did more than 150 crores . Zwaisab, starring Jitu Nepal, who came to Hellin in the fight of two big bulls, also did not have to kill the calf . Before that, Behuli from Meghauli, which was released in Ghatasthapana, also earned three and a half crores in one week.  If we look at the

statistics, 61 Nepali films were released in the last financial year. At the box office, this film did more than 1 billion 51 crore 32 lakhs . But the business of only 5 films released during the month of Dasain and Tihar was above 868.5 million rupees . June accounts for 57 percent of the business done by Nepali films for the whole year.

55 films released in the remaining 11 months had a gross collection of only 64 crores. While the 5 films released on Dasain sold at least 40 million rupees in ticket sales, Purna Bahadur's Sarangi, which was released on Tihar, earned more than 468.7 million rupees alone.

At this time, the main meaning of the producers taking their lives in the Dasai conflict is the same attractive business figures that Nepali films did during Dasai and Tihar last year. Even a film of a character actor like Vijay Baral makes a business of around 47 crores, so any producer or film has become justified to dare.

Sameer Bhatt's action film 12 Villages, who is making his debut in it, can beat even the best-selling comedy series Chhakka Panja, if anyone comes to play Singauri in the coming Dasain, at least for this year's Dasain Tihar. Well, the big illusions of the manufacturer can be torn apart now. That was a matter of waiting.

However, even if the number of films increases in proportion, we have the same number of halls. This means, the number of halls in Nepal is not even 200 . The film which the audience supports will rule the box office . However, there is definitely a loss for the domestic film industry when there is a rush for screening on the same date. It is not at all pleasant to see unhealthy competition for the domestic film industry, which has overtaken foreign film business only last year.

'Everyone is bringing the film after watching the long Dussehra holiday . However, when it is distributed, everyone's share is not equal. In that case, it is not possible to say which film will earn more at the box office this time. If it doesn't earn at the box office, the producer doesn't get the revenue,'' distributor Manoj Rathi adds while analyzing the Dasain market, 'only if the word of mouth is good, the film will continue to run in the theaters after the holidays . Even from a commercial point of view, the film that did well in the theater will earn in the days after the holidays.' He does not see that any film will have such a big box office collection if the film is released during the holidays. Rathi argues, "After the holidays, the audience gets cut off films that they don't like."

As Rathi said, when many films are released at the same time, it is unlikely that all the films will do good business based on the distribution. For example, let's look at the distribution of channel QFX, which is the most screened multiplex in Nepal. So far, QFX has a total of 38 screens in 17 outlets across the country.

is currently five shows on one screen throughout the day, morning, afternoon and evening on QFX. According to Tripti Giri, General Manager of QFX, showing a film on 38 screens on Dasain can get up to 300 people. However, according to Trupti himself, when many films are released at once, the business of the film will be cut .

'So many films coming at the same time means that one affects the business of the other . A single film could do a lot of business, if another film is running in the same place, the audience will also be divided,' says Trupti, 'Thus, showing a film at the same time means dividing the business . Whose share of the business will get the most, only then will you know which film is strong.'

However, as Trupti said, when you see the preparations of the filmmakers to bring a film on Dasain, they seem to be more oriented towards earning more than sharing the business . But what should be? In particular, Nepali filmmakers should focus on strengthening the theme instead of waiting for the release of the film. If the 'content' was strong, would the audience be drawn to that hall? Rather than waiting for the holiday itself, making a strong 'content' to bring the audience to the hall would not have been a real strength. There are many examples of strong

content that doesn't need to wait until December. 'Sambala', which was selected in the main category of the Berlin Film Festival, and 'The Way to the Village', which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, are vivid examples of this . Destroying the comment that films that have reached the festival do not play in theaters, 'Gaon Ingai Bato' earned 40.19 million from the domestic market .

'Art House' film showing such a presence at the domestic box office is also the audience's faith in their film . 'Sambala' has also become an example of not having to wait for a festival to release a film by earning 21.2 million. Interestingly, 'Sambala' is showing a strong presence at the French box office. 'Village Ani Bato' is also being screened at the UK box office via Hong Kong. Of course, these two films did not wait for any festival for their international release.
