Industrialists and businessmen are frustrated, unstable and morale is low: Chairman Sapkota

Bhagirath Sapkota, president of the Federation of Nepalese Industries and Businessmen, has said that industrialists and businessmen are under social pressure and the morale of the private sector has weakened due to business instability.

Addressing a large gathering titled Cooperation for Peace, Stability and Prosperity organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Kathmandu, he said that this is why industrialists and businessmen have reached social frustration.
‘We industrialists and businessmen are in social frustration. We are in an unstable business situation. In such a situation, our morale has fallen,’ he said, ‘At such a time, it is also seen that society is divided into two parts.’

Sapkota said that the private sector and entrepreneurs are continuously working to improve the economy and protect it. He opined that the Gen-G movement should be viewed separately from the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24.

He stressed that action should be taken against those who looted, stole and destroyed private institutions in the incidents of Bhadra 24, warning that if this is not done, the private sector will become more isolated and its morale will deteriorate further.
