The agitation started by the employees of Nepal Securities Board (SEBON) continues till the 21st day. They started the protest saying that the Ministry of Finance has cut the service facilities that they have been waiting for.

Even today, the employees are holding a sit-in for 1 hour in the morning and stopping the work for the whole day. They continued the movement saying that the Ministry of Finance did not listen to their demands. On Sunday, the stock investors also went to the Securities Board to protest against the board's suspension of operations. After the top management of the board called the police, the lock was opened and the police took out the chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha and some directors. Even today, a large number of police are present in the board premises.

The Secretary-level decision of the Ministry of Finance on August 31 decided to immediately cancel the Securities Board Employee Welfare Fund Procedure 2071 and Employee Protection Fund (Operation and Management) Procedure 2075. The said procedure has been canceled as it was issued contrary to rule 167 of Nepal Securities Board Staff Service, Conditions Regulations 2068, the ministry said.

Similarly, the Ministry of Finance has also decided to immediately start the process of recovering the amount paid from the fund in the past from the concerned person as well as the government debt based on the procedures made against the prevailing law. In the future, the Ministry of Finance has also instructed to implement the system of obtaining the consent of the Ministry of Finance before making a decision on financial obligations. Ministry of Finance is also aware of the suspension of work on the

board. But the officials of the ministry say that their decision remains the same.
