Fungling municipality-8 has been providing 10,000 rupees to the family members of those who died in their ward. The ward has conducted such a program with the aim of providing support even if it is the rent of a vehicle to carry the dead body from the house to the ghat. Such a program has been running since the previous fiscal year to relieve the pain of having to carry dead bodies for hours to reach the river due to lack of rent.

Pregnant women of the ward get assistance worth Rs. 10,000. In which there are items such as a chicken cock, eggs, soft food, ghee etc. Less than a week after the delivery, Ward President Kshitij Sunuwar, women and Dalit women members along with Janpatinidhi arrive at the home of the delivery woman. In that context, they observe the household situation and understand the situation of women who have given birth through women and Dalit women members. If there is a need for more support, they also consult with the deputy head of the municipality to create a comfortable environment for pregnant women. This program has been running for two financial years.

After deciding the program to be done by the ward, they submit it to the Municipal Assembly. Implementation will begin after approval by the Municipal Assembly. This program is also available for this financial year. But in this financial year, the pregnant women of this ward and the families of the deceased have not received such support. Ward president Kshitij Sunuwar himself was also saddened. Baje Karna Sunuwar, who was with him, passed away on 18th of July. Bereaved by family grief, he became busy with the 13th day Kiriya and the 45th day of Baza. After solving the household problems, the ward office gathered data on the families who gave birth and died in the ward. Since July, there have been around a dozen childbirths and half a dozen dead families.

They need about two lakh rupees. For this support, they asked the financial and administrative branch of Fungling municipality for a sum of money. But the administration branch announced the decision that the plan could not be given because the federal government had instructed to cut the plan in pieces. 'Why was the plan of facilities for the citizens passed by the Municipal Assembly reduced?' Does the ward president ask questions? Ward presidents like him are in trouble. Not only this, the ward has allocated two lakh rupees for the maintenance of the ward's roads. If the rain-damaged roads are repaired before Dasain, the citizens will get the facility to reach their homes. But the municipality refused to release the budget for this too.

'The municipality has put the allowance account of us public representatives. Social security allowance has been deposited into the account. Salaries of teachers have been paid. Why should citizens not get the funds for such schemes, the Finance Minister should clarify such issues, said Sunuwar. He commented that even if he sought a loan, he had to give it. He said, "Now families who are in this situation are calling and asking, Dasain has become a situation where they have to look for loans in advance and provide them." The road needs to be repaired.'

In areas inhabited by poor families, women who have given birth and the families of the deceased hope for the money to be given for the rent and call to see when it will be received. The Ministry of Finance is demanding that the lower bodies should be informed about such matters.
