The government has announced that the closed government industries will be brought into operation. On Tuesday, Finance Minister Varshman Pun, while presenting the budget for the next financial year, said that public institutions will be converted into public limited companies based on feasibility.
He also announced that sick industries that have the potential to contribute to production and employment will be put into operation in partnership with the private sector.
Biratnagar jute mill, Hetaunda textile industry, Gorakhkali rubber industry and other industries which are closed will be brought into operation in public-private partnership, it has been mentioned in the budget. Finance Minister Pun said that the private sector's sick industries will be facilitated to re-establish.
