The first key to development is road infrastructure. The road network has helped to improve the standard of living of the people. Yesterday it took 2 hours to go to Meghauli from Bharatpur Bazar. It used to take a day to go and come back, but now it takes half an hour. Its direct benefits have reached the citizens here.

Therefore, we have made a significant leap in road infrastructure . This is not what we say, but what we see and what everyone feels .

Bharatpur or overall Chitwan district is known as the third tourist destination of the country. Now there is speculation to make a second tourist destination soon. Considering that it is one of the 6 metropolises of the country and also the capital of Chitwan, we are in a tough competition to make Bharatpur from the third tourist destination of the country to the second.

Bharatpur has a strong chance of becoming a second tourist destination if we can continue this trend in the future. Not only road infrastructure, but tourism, agriculture, education, health and other sectors, we have moved forward according to the plan of balanced development . Bharatpur has made significant strides in tourism promotion, development and prosperity in the last seven years.

We announced 'Bharatpur Visit Year 2024' with the aim of eradicating the frustration prevalent due to the recent economic downturn, making economic activities viable and encouraging the people of Bharatpur. In order to attract investors, we are trying to provide roads, electricity, IT facilities and create conditions that make movement and stay safe . I request

investors to invest in Bharatpur with confidence . Along with promoting tourism, we are serious about creating a favorable environment to increase economic activity in Bharatpur and attract investment.

There are two airports in Bharatpur. Meghauli airport was once more established than Bharatpur . The Meghauli Airport, which was functioning well until Tiger Tops Hotel, closed down along with Tiger Tops . Residents of Meghauli, Patihani, Jagatpur and Golaghat in West Chitwan are drawing attention to upgrade Meghauli Airport and make it operational. General maintenance work has been done on the runway .

A state-of-the-art terminal building is also being constructed at Bharatpur Airport. Expanding this airport is also a necessity now. Bharatpur Airport has to be expanded due to lack of runway for take-off and landing. A ship larger than 42 seats cannot arrive at Bharatpur Airport. Therefore, expansion of the airport has become mandatory.

It has been decided by the then cabinet to move the horse breeding center to Shaktikhor for the expansion of Bharatpur airport . The subject of expansion of Bharatpur airport has been fixed in the budget of the federal government. It is now in the implementation phase.

There is no need for two airports in the same municipality. But if Tiger Tops Hotel comes into operation again, Meghauli airport will be needed for charter planes. Also, even if a proper bridge is built to connect Meghauli and Nawalpur, the airport is needed.
