It has been 100 days since I became a minister. I thought there would be no milk holiday. My thinking has changed in such a way that that situation would not have been created. But why does it have to happen? There will be an increase in milk from August to October. As we are not in a position to sustain as much as we should be able to sustain here, as soon as we do not take milk from the farmers, there is a situation where the farmers have to go towards the milk holiday.
Until today, we have not been able to do the work of at least taking milk from farmers, and if that milk is not sold, we can use it in powder form . Therefore, I want to assure you that there will be no milk holiday and we have planned to install such machines in different places and turn the milk into powdered milk.
Now let me tell the truth or tell the truth, if the truth is to be told, there is a situation with the people/farmers that a part of the government buys milk on credit and takes a profit of Rs. This is incorrect . How much support does what I have to say in this situation ? I have held that ministry. That's why I'm very worried that there won't be such weakness and bullying in the future. I took the oath of office as a minister on June 31. On the 1st of July, I got the information that one billion 60 million rupees to be paid for milk will have to be paid immediately . I came to know about issues like sugarcane money, insurance money, but not yet. Now we have not been able to pay the full amount of the milk . Farmers have received about one billion and thirty crore rupees. On behalf of the Government of Nepal, we took a loan of 600 million rupees to pay interest. We sold the rest of the powder and ghee we had and sent it to the farmers.
I was looking at all the firms of brothers and sisters doing agricultural work in Chitwan district . Yesterday morning, the chairman gave a chit, the problem of fish remained the same, our friends are deployed in different places, fish came in from outside. Some time ago, an agreement was reached between businessmen who import fish from outside and the Fish Producers Association of Nepal, with the joint secretary of our ministry, Sarita Gautam, as a witness. After I received that information, I felt that many problems would be solved . I was happy when it was agreed . But as soon as Chitwan arrived, this news was heard.
I said that this problem had to be managed immediately by keeping the secretary and joint secretary . We will explore this matter further .
I have a reminder about Chitwan. People who grew up in the village when we were young. In the morning, we had to eat a pile of corn or a pile of corn. We had many siblings. Where to go to eat rice? You have to migrate to Chitwan to eat rice. Fifty years before today, there was a custom of migrating to Chitwan to eat rice. I had heard that story . Today I come to Chitwan not only as a minister but also four/five times a year. Many of the working brothers are wearing shorts, only those who are not doing agricultural work. Hence it is the hub of agriculture .
This is an agricultural area . I do not detract from what has been raised here . Where there is a weakness, I will do the work of finding . I will also solve it as long as possible . I can't beg you.
I am also a person who has worries and concerns. For political change, we also influenced the educational sector . But now it is not a political change situation . The University of Agriculture has been closed for two months. The families inside should have tried on this matter.
We have to see where there was a weakness or an error in the middle of this hundred days. There is no blame for the person who does not do it . Is it an intention or a mistake? If the intention is bad, . If there is an error, it should be given a chance to improve . If there are some weaknesses and errors under the Ministry of Agriculture, I have to answer for those errors based on the facts.
People who work in agriculture and the agriculture office is far . But we have only mentioned the big farmers who do business in different ways. I recounted an incident after I became a minister - 'A woman asked me for fifty thousand rupees and didn't get it . Co-operative also did not give . I have two children . My husband is drunk. I have one plantation land . But no one helped me to educate my child by producing and selling the goats by putting a plastic tent to put the goats. You have become a minister, help me.' Can we forget this pain or not?
My request is that we have different types of farmers . In order to survive, to make ends meet in the morning and evening, to take care of the child, even if there is little land, they have to do agricultural work . But my daily life does not affect the country . That's why there is another big business. What that means is that by taking a large plot, we will do agricultural work there, the work will be done in such a way as to feed many markets, and for that, support from the state is necessary.
From the year 2071 till today, 36 billion rupees have been donated. Where will that 36 billion rupees be? I've been searching . It is being searched how and where the money went. It will be released in a few days . We are working to publicize as much as we can. Therefore, the people who do agricultural work with us should be addressed well. If that is not addressed, regardless of whether it is a ministry or a minister, it is not only his weakness but also bullying.
