The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has banned the operation of entrance exam preparation classes and bridge courses targeted at admission to various classes at the school level. Ministry spokesperson Shiva Kumar Sapkota issued a statement on Monday and announced that these programs will be completely closed from April 1.

In addition, instructions have been given to close various higher education programs if they are not in accordance with the prevailing law.

The ministry has backed down from the decision made by Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel on Sunday to close entrance and bridge courses for higher education from the school level.
