Nobel Prize winner Kajita to be the chief guest at the ceremony

Nobel Prize winner Professor Kajita received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2015. Prime Minister and Chancellor Sushila Karki and Minister for Education, Science and Technology and Pro-Chancellor Mahabir Pun will also participate in the convocation ceremony and distribute certificates to the students, according to Aryal.
TU has been criticized for causing chaos in the city, including vehicles, by congesting thousands of students at once in the main area of Kathmandu. Following the criticism, discussions were held in the TU Executive Council on holding convocation ceremonies at separate places and times for each faculty. After Aryal was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor, TU has reached the conclusion that the convocation ceremonies will be held on the same day and at the same place as before.
